Resort collection by Reem Acra
The Spring-Summer 2016 Resort collection consists of models of evening and cocktail dresses.
Often creative people are looking for inspiration somewhere abroad. Travel is a sure way to enrich your inner world. Someone is inspired by landscapes, others by the city. This way, the Lebanese designer living in the United States went to look for the muse in Sardinia, and judging by the Resort collection, she succeeded to do that.
The main focus of the collection is made on the fabric, which is divided into light and flowing, and heavy, that keeps the shape. The second particularity of the Lookbook is the details. Reem opted for gold embroidery as additional elements. This element is intended to simulate the presence of jewels on a dress, as well as to release the possessor from the need to wear additional accessories.
The only thing the author advised to add to the image was a hat or original “ears”. They may not fit in all events, but for a special occasion they will. Be sure you will surprise the party guests with this accessory.
As for the models, then there are no surprises – the author stayed true to his own preferences, presenting again a wide range of cocktail and evening dresses. Here we can see fitting shape styles, skirts, flounces, bodice decorated with stones and the classic pencil dress.
The author could not get without the trendy combination of dense textures with transparent. A chiffon cape on an evening dress is another original solution from Reem Acra.
The designer combines original embroidery with and without stones with contrasting base that allows the dress to play with new colors.
The look is complemented with classic pumps with a sharp toe and gold color stiletto heel. This variant of shoes can truly be considered the favorite option of many designers, because golden shoes often shines on the pages of the Lookbook and fashion shows in the ensemble with dresses of different lengths. Here have also been demonstrated the hits of two seasons – shoes with metal toe.
