In Los Angeles took place the 42nd ceremony of American Music Awards. The winners of “Artist of the year” nomination, was the British boy band One Direction. The artists also took the award for “Best band or duo” and “Best pop/rock album” nomination.Katy Perry’s composition “Dark Horse” became the “Single of the year.” Moreover, the female singer won the award for “Best pop/rock female singer” and “Favorite Artist – Adult Contemporary”. Beyonce also was one of the winners taking the award for “Favorite Album – Soul/R&B”. This year, the “Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop” winner became the young star Iggy Azalea. Best in electronic music became Calvin Harris, in alternative music Imagine Dragons, while in Latin – Enrique Iglesias. The event was also attended by Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Rita Ora, Heidi Klum, Kardashian sisters and other distinguished guests.
