Street fashion-trend: ripped jeans
Jeans with scuffs and perforations are back again on the streets of fashion cities! Best examples in our review.
Ripped jeans are obvious a quote from the 90’s, when such denim trousers were worn with a bright T-shirts, sneakers and hoodies. As the years go by, the hooliganism decreased and sports clothings were replaced by high heels, big jewelry, tempting tops, proclaiming the era of “glamorous 2000’s”. Then, when all accepted this trend, ripped jeans were sent to the farthest corner of the wardrobe for several good years. The triumphant comeback was done thanks to brands like Alice + Olivia, Moschino, Juicy Couture, Louis Vuitton, Rachel Zoe, Levi’s, which included jeans in their spring-summer collections.
Bloggers and it-girls boldly “mix” together different stylistic elements: for example, Chiara Ferragni wears ripped jeans with a plaid shirt and Valentino sandals, while Leandra Medin, the mistress of the blog The Man Repeller, with a large top and ballet shoes. The classics of the genre are grunge and rock: pants with slits, leather jacket, decorated with metal inserts and high-heeled ankle boots.
