Season trend: red eyeshadows

By  |

Who would think that the Fall-Winter 2015-2015 season will become the time of eye-shadows in intense red shades? Earlier, when speaking about eye make up, make up artists insisted to be careful with this color, but the time for changes arrived. Let’s apply red to the daily eye make up.

Red eyeshadows

Red is the most pretentious color from the color palette. Although it is trendy in the new season, we have to be very careful: if to choose wrong the shade and apply it unprofessionally on the eyelid, red eyeshadow can play a low down trick with you. For example it can create the impression you are suffering from lack of sleep or give your eyes a sickly appearance. Nevertheless, you should not refuse to experiment with the red color – what if soon for the eyes make up will become as classic as for lips?

Red eyeshadows

In order to get to know how to correctly use red eyeshadows, let’s take a look at examples taken from podium. At Suno Fall-Winter 2015-2015 shows, make up artists applied pinkish-red eyeshadows, both on the upper and lower lid. At Kristina T show, make up artists chose a glittering coral shade and applied in a thick layer on the eyelid. Make up artists working for Laura Biagiotti show also took care of the color intensity but they stopped their choice on brick red color. The pure red tone, shimmering wet on the eyelid became the main image of Jean Paul Gaultier couture show. On the lips, make up artists were not afraid to apply a glossy red lipstick. The result was amazing two equivalent emphasis in makeup blended in well with each other. Of course, in everyday life, such look is unlikely to be the best, but at a party, they certainly will surprise (in a good sense of the word) others.

3 rules for an appropriate use of red eyeshadows

– If you have red eyeshadows and you decided to ad them in your make up, be sure to blend carefully the edges. Like black eyeshadows, red are not suitable for a graphic eye make up. You must create a smoky eyes effect. In this case, the eyeshadows can be applied not on the whole eye lid but only in the outer corner of the eyes.

– If you have a light skin tone, red eyeshadows will emphasize its paleness. That is why do not forget to use blushes or to focus on the lips – it will “balance” bright eyes and it will also refresh the make up. In case if you are not afraid of extravagant looks, you can emphasize the lips with red color similar to the one you have used in the applied eyeshadows.

-Do not try red eyeshadows if you are tired or have not slept all night. It is a bad idea to emphasize the eye redness, unless you are not creating an image for Halloween.
