Paris Fashion Week: Atelier Versace, Fall-Winter 2015-2015

Paris Haute Couture Week kicked off. The first day was marked by Atelier Versace show.

“Atelier Versace is a real Haute Couture. I would like to appeal to the motives of creation and destruction, defiantly combining new fabrics and cuts. This a modern view on high fashion” – says Donatella Versace about her new couture collection. Construction and deconstruction – the basis upon which the philosophy of the updated line of couture fashion house rests on. Few expected from the Versace a collection, which will be devoted to this topic, but the facts speak for: single-breasted jackets combined with a corset on a gold buckle, corset dresses covered with cuts, graphically shaped light capes created with thin strips of vinyl, a long dress with a slit covering one leg, asymmetrical bodices and lapel skirts.
The new interpretation of haute couture has not prevented Donatella to use traditional codes of Italian brand: glamor of the 50s, exaggerated sexuality, unobtrusive Gothic and familiar luxury blend harmoniously with avant-garde experiments of Versace.
