Karlie Kloss has established a scholarship for female programmers

In the recent past, Victoria’s Secret “Angel”, but now just a successful model, Karlie Kloss, is interested not only in the fashion industry. Last summer, for example, she took a two-week summer courses in programming at Flatiron School. And the object of study was of such a great interest that Karly wanted that other girls to be interested in it, as well. Thus was born the idea of Kode with Karlie scholarships.

Now twenty-American schoolgirls aged 13 to 18 years old will be free to go through the same course that Karly has chosen for herself. To apply for a scholarship, it is enough to just record a minute video with a story about why they want to learn programming, and then post it on YouTube and attach it to the Flatiron School questionnaire. Kloss herself will select the best: Ten girls will be trained in New York, and another ten – in other US cities.

It is known that at the end of the course, each of them will learn to create their own mobile applications. This looks like a very useful skill.
