Last year’s Gemma Ward appearance on the Prada show in Milan has become a real fashion sensation. No less sensational the girl finished her career at 20, and many thought that coming back after such a long break does not make any sense. However, Gemma has nothing to regret. That is exactly what she said in a candid interview for News Australia.
“I was searching for ways to define myself away from modelling and also just exploring things that were already a part of me, like writing and playing music and painting, – says Ward. – I didn’t intend in the beginning for it (the break) to take so long but I’m really glad that I took the time and I feel like it’s been enriching.”
We remind you that Gemma Ward came into the industry at age 14, when she was noticed by a modeling agency scout, and at 15, she already participated in Dior, Saint Laurent and Dolce & Gabbana shows. She left the fashion business at the peak of her career in 2008, immediately being connected with the tragic death of her beloved Heath Ledger. Gemma has confirmed that herself only three years later.
